Last month’s (June 29, 2023) virtual Equalize pitch day marked the end of the fourth year of the Equalize program. The itinerary for the event encompassed a keynote presentation by Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia, pitch presentations, a venture capital panel discussion, and an awards ceremony.
Abstract: To combat maternal morbidity and mortality, interventions designed to increase physical activity levels during and after pregnancy are needed. Mobile phone-based interventions show considerable promise, and BumptUp® has been carefully developed to address the lack of exercise among pregnant and postpartum women.
Kentucky Commercialization Ventures announced the winners of the inaugural 2022 KCV IMPACT (Innovative Mobile, Public Health, And Community-Oriented Technologies) Competition. The goal of the competition was to encourage ideation relevant to the improvement of the social, health, or economic conditions and highlight the value of innovators from across the state of Kentucky.
Winners received up to $25,000 for their institution to bring their innovations to life.
